Philippe Laffont at Ira Sohn Likes Virgin Media and Equinix

Earlier at the Ira Sohn investment conference, Philippe Laffont of Coatue Management gave a presentation in which he pitched two long investment ideas.

First was Equinix (NASDAQ: EQIX). Laffont stated that Equinix could triple in share price in the coming years. He stated that the company had big customers and that its data centers generate $600 million per year in cash flow. He thought that revenues could double in four to five years.

Second was Virgin Media (NASDAQ: VMED). Laffont liked Virgin Media because he said that it had the best broadband network. He stated that no one else was close to them. He also liked the growth in free cash flow and that the company was set to aggressively buyback shares in coming years.
