UPDATE: Lincare Holdings Rises 20% on Takeover Chatter

Lincare Holdings (NASDAQ: LNCR) rose 20% Wednesday to $30.24 on a report from the Financial Times Germany's Linde could offer $40 or more for the Clearwater, FL medical equipment company.

A spokesperson for Linde was aware of the FT report, but would not comment.
