Euro-Zone Composite PMI Drops To 46.3 In August

Private-sector activity across the euro zone contracted in August, according to the Markit euro-zone composite PMI.

The PMI declined to 46.3 in the month, down from 46.5 in July and versus a preliminary reading of 46.6. The index for the services sector dropped to 47.2, down from 47.9 in July and versus a preliminary figure of 47.5.
