Barry Rosenstein, Not Carl Icahn, Gets Walgreen Company Board Seat

After rallying over six percent on Thursday and Friday on rumors of Carl Icahn being added to the board, shares of Walgreen Company (NYSE: WAG) are relatively quiet in the premarket, as the new board member turns out to be Barry Rosenstein of JANA Partners, LLC.

Shares of Walgreen's jumped from $60.27 on the opening Thursday to as high as $65 on Friday, before closing back down at $63.95.

In pre-market trading, Walgreen was up 0.66 percent.
