Elon Musk Takes To Twitter To Announce Tesla Upgrade
Tesla Motor Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) CEO Elon Musk took to Twitter to announce that an upgrade to its Roadster will enable drivers to travel non-stop from Los Angeles to San Francisco.
Roadster upgrade will enable non-stop travel from LA to SF -- almost 400 mile range. Details tmrw. Merry Christmas!

However, Musk adds in a separate tweet that the nearly 400-mile journey won't be possible soon, but "will happen long-term."
Separately, Bloomberg reported that Tesla Motors will help Chinese consumers trade in their old cars if they purchase a Model S. The company will deduct the value of the trade-in from the price of a new Model S sedan and team up with local used-car dealers to connect with customers in Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou.
Shares of Tesla were down slightly at $221.69 in Friday's premarket.
