Mothercare Q3 Total Sales Slip 2.9%

Mothercare PLC (OTC: MHCRF) reported a 2.9% decline in its total sales for the third quarter.

For the 13 weeks ended Jan. 10, reported total group sales slipped 2.9%, while total international sales plus total U.K. sales gained 2.2%.

U.K. like-for-like sales climbed 1.1%, while total U.K. sales slipped 1.9%.

U.K. online sales gained 16.1%.

The company opened 24 international stores and closed 6 UK stores during the third quarter.
