Google-Funded Magic Leap Finally Teases Its First Augmented Reality Project
Magic Leap, the company that reportedly persuaded Google Inc (NASDAQ: GOOG) to invest $500 million, has released the first glimpse of one of its projects.
The company was scheduled to host an "ask me anything" on Reddit and make an appearance at the TED conference in Vancouver earlier this week.
Both appearances were cancelled.
Magic Leap then followed those cancellations with a teaser video for an action game using advanced augmented reality technology.
It is not yet known if Magic Leap is developing an actual headset to go with its AR projects or will simply provide the software for headset manufacturers.
Disclosure: At the time of this writing, Louis Bedigian had no position in the equities mentioned in this report.
