Dennis Gartman: We Own A Bit Of Apple

Dennis Gartman, Editor and Publisher of "The Gartman Letter" stated in Wednesday's issue that "as of yesterday, we are long a small sum of" Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL).

Gartman added that he does not disclose the names of any individual stocks owned but due to "vast capital structure" of Apple, any bullish or bearish commentary shouldn't have "even the most inconsiderably minor effect" on its share price, "but we may have erred in this last matter."

Gartman also noted that he remains "rather aggressively long" of "tanker" shares and Master Limited Partnership firms involving in the fracking industry.

Shares of Apple closed Tuesday at $124.43, down about 1.5 percent. In Wednesday's pre-market session, shares were up about 0.2 percent.

Shares are up more than 12 percent in 2015.
