GoPro Announces New Touch Screen Camera; Shares Spike Higher
Shares of GoPro Inc (NASDAQ: GPRO) were trading higher by more than 7 percent on Monday after the company announced a new camera with touch screen features. The new camera is named the HERO+ LCD and will sell with a manufactured retail price of $299.99.
GoPro announced a new touch display for easy shot framing, settings control and access to an all-new in-camera video trimming feature. Other advanced features include HiLight Tagging and in-camera video trimming with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
"HERO+ LCD illustrates that even as we push the limits of life capture with bleeding-edge devices like the HERO4 Black, we're also focused on delivering accessible, high-quality capture solutions to anyone wanting to GoPro," said Nick Woodman, founder and CEO of GoPro.

The HERO+ LCD will be available for purchase at authorized retailers and online at GoPro.com as soon as June 6. International availability will begin July 12.
Shares traded recently at $58.89, up 6.2 percent. Shares ares up more than 18 percent over the last month.
