US Stock Futures Tumble Ahead Of Jobless Claims

US stock futures traded lower in early pre-market trade. Data on weekly jobless claims and nonfarm productivity for the first quarter will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 105 points to 17,991.00, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures fell 13.55 points to 2,102.45. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index dropped 40.80 points to 4,486.70.

A Peek Into Global Markets

European markets were lower today, with the Spanish Ibex Index declining 1.19 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index dipping 1.42 percent and German DAX 30 index dropping 1.49 percent. French CAC 40 Index slipped 1.75 percent and London's FTSE 100 Index fell 1.31 percent.

In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rose 0.07 percent, China's Shanghai Composite Index jumped 0.76 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index dropped 0.38 percent and India's BSE Sensex fell 0.09 percent.

Broker Recommendation
Analysts at B.Riley downgraded Groupon Inc (NASDAQ: GRPN) from Buy to Neutral and lowered the price target from $9.00 to $7.00.

Groupon shares rose 1.99 percent to close at $6.15 yesterday.
