A Basket Of Apple Peers To Watch Following iPad Pro, Watch Presentations

Shares of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) were volatile on Wednesday as the company's CEO Tim Cook took center stage to introduce a plethora of new products and partnerships for its iPad Pro and Watch.

Cook introduced the iPad Pro, featuring a 12.9 inch diagonal screen with a 10-hour battery life, a A9X chip and four-speakers. Along with the new iPad, Cook introduced a new stylus -- the Apple Pencil.

In a surprising twist, Apple called Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT)'s VP of Office Kirk Konigsbauer on stage to demonstrate how Microsoft Office apps would work on the new device. Office will also support the new Apple Pencil.

The new iPad also features technology from Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ: ADBE), specifically Adobe Photoshop Fix, a new app that allows a user to retouch images quickly. Adobe Sketch will also be available for use with the new Apple Pencil.

Investors appear to be shrugging off the announcements as shares of both Microsoft and Adobe dipped into negative territory, following the broader indices.

GoPro Tumbles Despite Inclusion In Apple Watch

Shares of GoPro Inc (NASDAQ: GPRO) lost nearly 8 percent on Wednesday, trading at new 52-week lows of $34.55, despite the company's inclusion in the Apple Watch.

The newly announced GoPro app will offer Apple Watch users a "viewfinder" for what the wirelessly connection action camera is seeing. The app also features controls over recording and resolution information.

On the other hand, shares of Facebook Inc (NASDAQ: FB) popped higher by more than 2 percent following Apple's announcement of Facebook Messenger for the Watch. The new app will support both text and audio messages.
