DigiTimes: Taiwan Semiconductor Recently Spent $700 Million On Equipment, Notes Company Is On 'Buying Spree'
According to DigiTimes, Taiwan Semiconductor Mfg. Co. Ltd. (ADR) (NYSE: TSM) spent more than $700 million on semiconductor capital equipment over the past few weeks. The publication cited fillings issued by the company with the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
DigiTimes noted that Taiwan Semiconductor made several similar filings recently. In fact, the publication stated that throughout December 2015, the company made 13 separate equipment purchases worth around NT$25.33 billion, or $700 million.
Taiwan Semiconductor's stock is higher by more than 15 percent over the past three months, but higher by just 3 percent since the start of 2015.
