Shares Of Nvidia Slightly Higher Following Report Of Shortages, Higher Pricing

Share:

Shares of NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ: NVDA) were trading higher by 0.44 percent at $33.06 early Thursday morning after DigiTimes reported that "strong demand" for high-end graphics cards, particularly in China, resulted in a shortage of Nvidia's products.

DigiTimes continued in its report that due to the reported shortage, the average selling price of Nvidia's products rose by 15 percent.

The report noted that China is the largest graphics card market in the world. In fact, graphic card shipments have been declining at a "much slower pace" in 2015 compared to the rest of the world due to increasing demand from the gaming market and Internet cafes.
