Top 5 NCAA Apparel Deals Compared To Under Armour's Record Breaking UCLA Deal
UCLA announced Tuesday its 15-year, $280 million contract with Under Armour Inc (NYSE: UA), effectively creating the largest apparel contract in NCAA history.
This was a big win for Under Armour, since the company previously had just one of the five largest contracts with NCAA football teams prior to UCLA, leaving Nike Inc (NYSE: NKE) with the rest.
Top NCAA Deals
According to The Los Angeles Times's David Wharton, the current top ten NCAA deals are as follows:
- 1.) UCLA – Under Armour: $280 million
- 2.) Ohio State – Nike: $252 million
- 3.) University of Texas Austin – Nike: $250 million
- 4.) University of Michigan – Nike: 169 million
- 5.) University of Notre Dame – Under Armour: $90 million
Under Armour traded up 1.49 percent Tuesday after the announcement and, at the time of writing, up 0.31 percent.
