Tinder Enhances Transgender User Experience With New Features

Tinder CEO Sean Rad announced plans to expand dating preferences to include options for transgenders at the VOX Code Conference.

"We want every single person on Tinder to get a quality match," said Rad. "We want to let people be who they are."

Tinder is working with GLAAD to ensure the new update will include more options for transgenders. Currently, users can only identify and preference males or females, but an updated options list will be more comprehensive.

Match Group Inc (NASDAQ: MTCH), a provider of dating products, owns Tinder along with other popular dating websites like Plenty of Fish, BlackPeopleMeet, Match, OkCupid, FriendScout24 and others. According to NASDAQ, they offer services in 38 languages across 19 countries.

Match's stock was up 0.67 percent at $13.54 on Thursday.
