The Dow fell 0.09 percent to 18,244.10, while the NASDAQ composite index declined 0.12 percent to 5,160.15. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index dropped 0.13 percent to 2,128.74.

The worst performing industries in the market today are:

• Drug Stores: This industry slipped 7.8 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc (NASDAQ: WBA), which fell 2 percent. Walgreens shares have dropped 2.43 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 2.55 percent in the same period.
• Drug Delivery: This industry declined 7.4 percent by 11:00 am with Valeant Pharmaceuticals Intl Inc (NYSE: VRX) moving down 19 percent. Valeant reported weaker-than-expected earnings for its third quarter and lowered its full year fiscal 2016 guidance.
• Health Care Plans: This industry fell 4.1 percent by 11:00 am ET. CVS Health Corp (NYSE: CVS) shares dropped 12.5 percent in today's trading. CVS delivered better than expected EPS for the third quarter though revenue missed. However, the company offered downbeat guidance for the fourth quarter and next year.
• REIT - Industrial: The industry dropped 3.4 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was CIM Commercial Trust Corp (NASDAQ: CMCT), which declined 3.8 percent.
