Google Pixel 8 Price Could Be Up To €200 More Than Its Predecessor, New Leak Suggests
Alphabet Inc.'s (NASDAQ:GOOG) (NASDAQ:GOOGL) Google could be planning a major price hike for its upcoming Pixel 8 smartphones, according to a new leak a few weeks ahead of the October 4 launch.
What Happened: Google could hike the Pixel 8 price by as much as €200 for the base variant of the Pixel 8 Pro, according to Dealabs magazine.

This price hike is substantial – the Pixel 7 Pro currently costs €899 in France, while the Pixel 7 costs €799. The report suggests that the standard Pixel 8's price could be hiked by €150.
While several Android flagships cost as much or more, this is still a considerably higher price than 2022's Pixel 7 series.
It's not clear yet if Google is planning a similar price hike for the Pixel 8 series in the US as well, but if it does, then the Pixel 8 could start in the $649 range while the Pixel 8 Pro could cross the $1,000 mark.
Pixel 8 Rumored Features: The Pixel 8 series is expected to pack in some important upgrades, powered by Google's custom-designed Tensor G3 chipset.
Google has also given us a 360-degree view of the Pixel 8 series, featuring a unified camera visor design on the back along with an infrared sensor for measuring temperature.
Some other leaks suggest that we could see features like Video Unblur, a higher display refresh rate, and slightly bigger batteries.
