Google Prepares To Roll Out Gemini Subscription With 'Enterprise' Plans For Workspace: Report

Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL) is reportedly preparing to introduce new subscription plans for its Google Workspace business consumers. A rebranding of the AI will accompany these plans’ features under the Gemini for Workspace label.

What Happened: Based on a leaked changelog discovered by Testing Catalog, Android Central reported on Tuesday that Google is set to release new subscription plans for its Google Workspace business clients. The new plans, called Gemini Business and Gemini Enterprise, are expected to be unveiled on Feb. 21.

The changelog indicates that these new plans will provide access to Google’s most advanced AI model, 1.0 Ultra in Gemini, and enterprise-level data security. These plans will be available in English across more than 100 countries and territories.

These new plans are anticipated to replace the current Duet AI subscription service, which costs $30 per user per month. However, the specifics that differentiate the Gemini Business and Enterprise options remain undisclosed.

Notably, Google is also working on making AI features in Workspace accessible to Personal Workspace users through the Google One AI Premium plan, priced at $20 per month. Nonetheless, Google has not yet provided a timeline for these Gemini for Workspace features for Google One AI Premium subscribers.

Why It Matters: This news follows Google’s recent expansion of its Gemini AI Chatbot to Android users in India, where the app is now available to over 150 countries and territories. The Gemini mobile app, supporting English, Korean, and Japanese, is now available to a global audience with its comprehensive language options.

Before this, Google had rebranded its AI chatbot Bard to Gemini, consolidating its AI efforts under a single brand name. The rebranding was accompanied by the introduction of Ultra 1.0 in the Gemini Advanced update, marking a significant milestone in Google’s AI journey.
