She proposed that Judge Merchan should extend the gag order to cover himself, his family, D.A. Alvin Bragg, and his family. Cordell expressed her bewilderment as to why judges do not include themselves and their families in these gag orders, especially considering the death threats they have received due to Trump’s comments.

When questioned about the potential repercussions if Trump violates the gag order, Cordell replied, “bring your toothbrush, Donald Trump, because you’re going to sit in a jail cell for a while.” She stressed the importance of immediate consequences when a court order is breached.
