Citigroup Inc (NYSE: C) reported a decline in its fourth-quarter profit. Citigroup's quarterly earnings dropped to $1.17 billion, or $0.38 per share, from $1.3 billion, or $0.43 per share, in the year-ago period. Its revenue fell to $17.2 billion, from $18.4 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.54 per share on revenue of $18.6 billion.

Wells Fargo & Co (NYSE: WFC) reported a 20% rise in its fourth-quarter net income. Wells Fargo's quarterly profit climbed to $3.89 billion, or $0.73 per share, from $3.23 billion, or $0.61 per share, in the year-ago period. Its revenue dropped to $20.61 billion from $21.49 billion. However, analysts were expecting a profit of $0.72 per share on revenue of $20.01 billion.

Check Point Software Technologies (NASDAQ: CHKP) reported a rise in its quarterly net profit. Check Point's fourth-quarter earnings per diluted share rose to $0.84, from $0.73, in the year-earlier period. Its revenue surged 12% to $356.8 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.82 per share on revenue of $355.6 million.

TD Ameritrade Holding Corp (NASDAQ: AMTD) reported a rise in its fourth-quarter earnings. TD Ameritrade's quarterly earnings climbed to $152 million, or $0.27 per share, from $145 million, or $0.25 per share, in the year-ago period. Its revenue fell to $653.4 million, from $656.2 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.26 per share on revenue of $671.5 million.

Forest Laboratories Inc (NYSE: FRX) reported a decline in its third-quarter profit. Forest Laboratories' quarterly profit dropped to $278.4 million, or $1.04 per share, from $320.7 million, or $1.11 per share, in the year-earlier period. Its adjusted earnings came in at $1.04 per share. Forest Laboratories' sales climbed 9.2% to $1.2 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $1.01 per share on revenue of $1.18 billion. Forest Labs projects 2012 earnings of $3.65 to $3.75 per share, versus analysts' estimates of $3.67 per share.

McMoRan Exploration Co (NYSE: MMR) swung to a fourth-quarter profit. McMoRan Exploration posted a profit of $38.7 million, versus a year-ago loss of $29.8 million. On a per-share basis, including preferred dividend and stock-related payments, McMoRan Exploration's profit came in at $0.16 per share, versus a loss of $0.83 per share. Its revenue surged 23% to $121.9 million. However, analysts were expecting a loss of $0.13 per share on revenue of $117 million.
