Walgreen Co (NYSE: WAG) reported a drop in its fiscal second-quarter profit. Walgreen's quarterly profit declined to $683 million, or $0.78 per share, from $739 million, or $0.80 per share, in the year-ago period. Its net sales rose to $18.65 billion from $18.50 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.77 per share on net sales of $18.63 billion.

Charming Shoppes Inc (NASDAQ: CHRS) reported a wider-than-expected fiscal fourth-quarter loss. Charming Shoppes posted a quarterly loss at $13.2 million, or $0.11 per share, versus a year-ago loss of $30.4 million, or $0.26 per share. Excluding restructuring charges and other items, Charming Shoppes posted a loss of $0.06 per share. Its net sales dropped 2.9% to $559.1 million. However, analysts were expecting a loss of $0.02 per share on revenue of $542 million.

Vermillion Inc (NASDAQ: VRML) reported a Q4 loss at $0.21 per share on revenue of $868 thousand. However, analysts were expecting a loss of $0.26 per share on revenue of $770 thousand.

Lennar Corp (NYSE: LEN) reported a decline in its first-quarter net income. It net income dropped to $15 million, or $0.08 per share, from $27.4 million, or $0.14 per share, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.04 per share. It also reported a strong rise in orders in the December-February period. Lennar's new orders climbed 33% to 3,022 homes in the period.

McCormick & Company Inc (NYSE: MKC) reported a drop in its first-quarter profit. McCormick's quarterly profit declined to $74.5 million, or $0.55 per share, versus $76.8 million, or $0.57 per share, in the year-earlier period. The company's sales climbed to $906.7 million from $782.8 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.53 per share on sales of $863.7 million.

Wolseley PLC (OTC: WOSYY) reported a 28% surge in its half year profit. Wolseley's profit before tax for the period rose to GBP250 million, versus GBP195 million, in the year-ago period. Its revenue came in at GBP6,841 million. Wolseley's trading profit climbed 13% to GBP310 million. Wolseley's underlying trading profit in the ongoing business surged 16% to GBP318 million.

Kazakhmys PLC (OTC: KZMYY) reported a 36% decline in its full-year net profit. Kazakhmys' FY net profit attributable to equity shareholders fell to $930 million, versus $1.45 billion in 2010. Its FY EBITDA climbed 3.2% to $2.93 billion.

Israeli company Strauss Group Ltd (OTC: SGLJF) reported a flat fourth-quarter earnings. Strauss reported its Q4 net profit at 33 million shekels ($8.9 million), the same as in the year-ago quarter. Its sales rose to ILS2.1 billion, from ILS1.8 billion. Strauss' full-year net profit dropped to ILS161 million, versus ILS211 million in 2010. Its sales revenue climbed 13% to ILS7.7 billion.

Dongfeng Motor Group (OTC: DNFGY) reported a 4.6% drop in its annual earnings in 2011. Dongfeng's 2011 earnings fell to 10.48 billion yuan ($1.66 billion), versus analysts' estimates of 10.95 billion yuan. Its revenue rose 7.4% y/y to 131.44 billion yuan.

Neogen Corp (NASDAQ: NEOG) reported its Q1 EPS at $0.22 on revenue of $44.9 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.22 per share on revenue of $45.70 million.

Gol Linhas Aereas Inteligentes SA (NYSE: GOL) reported a drop in its fourth-quarter net profit. Gol's quarterly net profit fell to 54.27 million Brazilian reais ($30 million), from BRL132.2 million, in the year-ago quarter. Its operating expenses climbed 41% y/y to BRL2.26 billion, from BRL1.6 billion. Gol's net revenue surged 19.5% to BRL2.23 billion from BRL1.87 billion. Gol's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization and aircraft rental costs, (EBITDAR) declined to BRL238 million, from BRL475 million.

Hon Hai Precision Industry Co (OTC: HNHPF) reported a 66% surge in its fourth-quarter net profit. Hon Hai's quarterly net profit climbed to NT$35.0 billion, from NT$21 billion, in the year-ago period. Its revenue surged 24% to NT$1.074 trillion versus NT$863.2 billion in the previous quarter.

Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (NYSE: SID), or CSN, reported an 81% surge in its fourth-quarter net profit. CSN's quarterly profit jumped to 817 million Brazilian reais ($450 million), from BRL450 million, in the year-earlier period. Its net revenue climbed to BRL4.17 billion, from BRL3.44 billion. CSN's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rose 1% y/y to BRL1.46 billion.
