Zings Of The Day (MSFT, HRB, BRK-B)

Share:

Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) bought Skype today for $8.5 billion, as it looks to expand its portfolio of real-time communications products and services. Now when I sign onto Skype, I'll see the "blue screen of death." I guess that's worth $8.5 billion.

A group of mortgage bond investors are trying to get H&R Block (NYSE: HRB) Inc's defunct subprime lending unit to buy back billions of dollars in bad mortgages. I guess their tax refund wasn't big enough.

Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK-A), (NYSE: BRK-B) Chairman & CEO Warren Buffett will be guest starring on "The Office," as the NBC comedy looks to replace Steve Carell, as Dunder Mifflin's boss. Carell played Michael Scott in the series. He went on longer than most thought he would. That's what she said.
