Hennes & Mauritz Reports 2% Rise In May And Q2 Comparable Sales
Hennes & Mauritz AB (OTC: HNNMY) reported that for May and for the second quarter ended May 31, comparable sales surged 2%.
For the quarter, Hennes & Mauritz's total sales in local currencies, including VAT, climbed 12%. Its total sales converted into the Swedish currency climbed 2.5% to 32.4 billion kronor ($5.13 billion), from 31.6 billion, in the year-ago quarter. Sales, excluding VAT, increased 2.2% to 27.63 billion kronor.
Hennes & Mauritz shares gained 0.72% to close at $7.01 yesterday.
