It's So Obvious, You'll Wonder Why They Didn't Think of It Sooner

Forget about the mail offerings from Yahoo! (NASDAQ: YHOO), Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) and Google (NASDAQ: GOOG). Now you can have your very own @SmartAss address.

SmartAss is a new search engine that, according to KillerStartups, was designed to “provide users with a more engaging and livelier overall experience when looking for online information.” In addition to its primary feature, SmartAss offers silly jokes from its mascot (ex: “WARNING! The dates in Calender [sic] are closer than they apper”), along with the most amusing e-mail client of all time.

Unfortunately, SmartAss visitors will quickly notice that its search component is (if only for the time being) a bit generic. Some might even say that it mirrors the presentation of another search engine.
