Motorola Droid Bionic Coming to Verizon Wireless Tomorrow, September 8
Verizon Wireless announced today that the Motorola Droid Bionic will be available for purchase by customers beginning tomorrow, September 8, 2011. The Droid Bionic, which was initially scheduled to be released earlier in the year, features a dual-core 1 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, and a 4.3-inch qHD display. The phone is described as being the "thinnest 4G LTE" device available from Verizon Wireless.
Other specs for the Droid Bionic include:
- Android OS 2.3.4 (a.k.a. "Gingerbread")
- 8-megapixel camera that can record up to 1080p HD video (rear-facing)
- Front-facing camera for video chatting
- HDMI out
- Adobe Flash Player support
- 16 GB of onboard storage and a 16 GB microSD card pre-installed (supports up to 32 GB microSD card)
- Wireless charging capabilities
The phone will cost $299.99 with a new two-year contract from Verizon Wireless.
