As Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) unveils the iPad 2 today, it feels like a confirmation of what we've known for weeks.

With a dual-core A5 processor that's supposed to be twice as fast as the original, the iPad 2 sounds like one very slick device.

Battery life remains at 10 hours. The price remains at $499 for the Wi-Fi/16GB version. HDMI video out will also be featured.

The iPad 2 is due on March 11.
