iMac Upgrade Equipped With Quad-Core Processor, 3X Graphics, FaceTime HD and More (AAPL)
If the snazzy MacBook Air and MacBook Pro aren't powerful enough for your needs, and if the Mac Pro tower is a bit too much, Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) has a new offering that was built just for you: an upgraded slate of iMacs.
On the power side, new features include Core i5 and i7 Processors, Turbo Boost 2.0, faster single-chip microarchitecture, and integrated memory controller (for faster access to memory).
The new iMacs come standard with graphics from AMD (NYSE: AMD), including the AMD Radeon HD 6750M (for the 21.5-inch 2.5GHz model) and the AMD Radeon HD 6770M (for the 27-inch 2.7GHz model), both with 512MB. Power-hungry users who select the 27-inch 3.1GHz model can upgrade to the AMD Radeon HD 6970M with 2GB.
Thunderbolt technology has also been added to the mix, along with a FaceTime HD camera, to ensure that you can share your favorite moments with all your friends.
