Guy Adami Recommends Itron (ITRI)
CNBC's post-market show, Fast Money, has added a new segment where one of the traders on the desk pitches a stock idea to the other traders, who then either agree or disagree with their colleague's thesis. Tonight, former Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) sales-trader, Guy Adami, was on the hot seat. The stock that he pitched was Itron, Inc. (NASDAQ:ITRON).
He said that this company is currently trading at a reasonable valuation at 19 times forward earnings. This compares to a historical multiple of around 25. Adami also said that ITRI's earnings are growing at 30% annually and the company is exposed to international growth, particularly in South America. Adami said that he believes it is a $100 stock. On the day, ITRI fell 3.70% to $72.18, but the shares are climbing in the after hours after the Fast Money segment.
