JPMorgan, American Express, Microsoft And More: CNBC's 'Final Trades'

On CNBC’s "Halftime Report Final Trades," Stephen Weiss of Short Hills Capital Partners named Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) as his final trade.

Microsoft reported better-than-expected earnings and sales results for its fourth quarter, but issued a weak sales outlook for the current quarter.

Sarat Sethi said American Express Company (NYSE: AXP) reported a really good quarter. He recommended owning the stock for the future.

American Express reported mixed financial results for its second quarter. The company reported revenue (net of interest expense) growth of 12% year-on-year to $15.05 billion, missing the consensus estimate of $15.48 billion.

Liz Young of BNY Mellon Investment Management named BNY Mellon Investment Management (NYSE: XLU), with the Federal Reserve finishing its rate-hiking cycle.

The Fed raised its benchmark overnight interest rate by 25 basis points on Wednesday.

JPMorgan Chase reported better-than-expected second-quarter financial results.

Price Action: JPMorgan shares rose 0.6% to settle at $157.76, while American Express shares rose 0.8% to close at $167.75 on Wednesday. Microsoft shares fell 3.8% to close at $337.77 during the Wednesday’s session.
