RL Seems a Good Buy For Income
Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation (NYSE: RL) has recently hiked its quarterly dividend per share to $0.10. As a result, RL’s payout has effectively doubled from the previous quarter’s figure. Although RL operates in the industry that offers no fixed income, the company provides a 0.5% dividend yield.
RL has recently posted FQ2 earnings per share of $1.80, significantly exceeding the consensus expectations. Polo Ralph Lauren expects to continue to invest in the high growth international markets and in exciting new product categories in the second half of FY10 in an effort to meet its long-term strategic objectives. RL has raised its sales forecasts for the rest of the year and the earnings per share consensus estimate was raised to $4.18, from the previous $4.12.
