Blueshift Ideas Discusses Vitamin Shoppe
Blueshift Ideas is out with a series of tweets on Vitamin Shoppe (NYSE: VSI).
The research firm notes that Vitamin Shoppe's in-Store Service, and low prices are driving sales. Consumers would rather shop in the stores as opposed to websites for personal service, no shipping costs and the company matches its prices on the website. Blueshift said its sources said that sales at Vitamin Shoppe has been strong and steady. Blueshift also spoke to another source that said Whole Foods Market (NASDAQ: WFM) and Trader Joe's are becoming more popular places to buy supplements.
The San Francisco-based research firm spoke to a nutritionist who said, what separates Vitamin Shoppe apart from its competitors is the staff is very knowledgeable about its products, as opposed to others, like GNC (NYSE: GNC). One customer also said that they chose Vitamin Shoppe over GNC because of "location, more choices and better prices."
