Piper Jaffray Maintains Overweight Rating and $12 PT on Lionsgate

A report from Piper Jaffray reiterates its Overweight rating and $12 price target on Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF).

The report states, “The strong opening weekend performance of the fourth Twilight film, Breaking Dawn: Part I has encouraged us to reevaluate the potential for Lionsgate's Hunger Games. While other analysts have handicapped box office potential, what seems to be missing is an analysis of licensing and merchandising opportunities for the film.”

LGF closed Friday at $8.59.
