Despite an upgrade, a 2-star stock rating still indicates a 'Sell' sentiment. Accordingly, 90 percent of the crowd's ratings are bearish and the crowd sourced price target of $23.56 implies a potential downside of around 4 percent.
"The labels it operates with are not associated with the quality of the past; the primary market is looking more at other stores for 'trendy' fashion items," Daniel S. Williams, a member of the Vetr crowd argued. "Among needing a brand overhaul, it seems the hype has caught up with Abercrombie & Fitch. Sales numbers have not looked too great, either."
