ISM, Construction Spending Better Than Expected
ISM manufacturing was just released and it came in better than expected, as did construction spending.
November ISM came in 56.6 versus economists expectations of 56.5
October construction spending rose 0.7% versus expectations of -0.5%
Stocks are sharply higher after these numbers, helped by strong foreign data and news that Europe will enact in quantitative easing.
At last check, the Dow was up 192 points, the NASDAQ was higher by 46 points, and the S&P 500 was up 19.5 points.
