Keep an Eye on Copper Throughout the Day (FCX, JJC)

Copper is currently positive pre market, up over 1%. As a former oil&gas analyst and commodity bull, I tend to pay more attention to copper and iron ore than most leading indicators. Something isn't right here and I can't quite put my finger on it. I wouldn't expect a technical bounce on a day when the stock futures are getting hit pretty hard. Maybe, just maybe the Dow Jones UBS Copper ETF (NYSE: JJC) might be worth a look for a bounce today. You can also look at Freeport McMoran Copper (NYSE: FCX) as well.

Definitely something to keep an eye on throughout the rest of the trading day.
