Today's Biggest Small Cap Losers Could Get Worse: Catalog & Internet Retailers

Despite brisk online sales this past holiday shopping season, the luster may be wearing off the entire internet retailing group.... the small caps in particular. GSI Commerce Inc., HSN, Inc., and Blue Nile, Inc. - each of which ran firmly in December (or even before) - may now be feeling the pressure of the weight of those gains. The S&P Small Cap Internet and Catalog Retail Index was one of Thursday's worst-performing small cap groups, falling 2.2%. This may well be the beginning of a more significant technical pullback for the group.
