US And India Need To Work Closely: Timothy Geithner

US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has stressed that the United States and India should work together. He said, “Our ability to cooperate on economic and financial issues will be critically important to the success of global efforts to create conditions for a more stable global financial system.”

Geithner also praised India’s dynamic entrepreneurial private sector. Geithner also said that the US and India face some common problems. He accepted India’s demand for more representation of developing economies in international bodies such as World Bank and International Monetary Fund.
