Wall Street fell in morning trade as traders took a breather following a strong rally in the prior session, and reacted to continued fears over the global economy and JPMorgan's third-quarter results.

As of 9:32 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 80 points, or 0.7%, to 11,440, the S&P 500 dipped 8.4 points, or 0.69%, to 1,199 and the Nasdaq Composite slid 7.8 points, or 0.26%, to 2,598.
The markets have been on a roll recently; indeed, the blue chips have soared more than 8% in the past seven days, nearly climbing into the black for the year in the prior session before pulling back. The broader S&P 500 is on a three-day winning streak, and surged close to 10% in the past seven days.
