Continental Airlines(CAL) Reports A Third Quarter 2009 Net Loss Of $18 Million
Continental Airlines, Inc.(Public, NYSE:CAL) has today announced Q3 of 2009 net loss of $18 million, recording a net income of $2 million and an EPS of $0.02 beating expectation by $0.08. This comes amid declines in passenger traffic and lower fares, with most businessmen preferring to travel economy class due to the on going recession.
"We had record operational performance thanks to the hard work of my co-workers," said Larry Kellner, Continental's chairman and chief executive officer. For their part, Continental Airlines have to focus more on customer service as well as well as keeping time schedules as global recession fades.
