S&P 500 Index Futures Tanking

S&P 500 index futures are trading lower by 24 points at 1901 in Wednesday's session. The index has been in a free fall from just moments after the opening bell.

At this time it approaching Tuesday's low (1899), If that level gives way, the next support based on the daily charts comes in Monday's low of 1892.50.

All but one of the top ten components of the index are in the red. The lone winner is Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE: XOM) shares, which are trading higher by $0.65 at $75.85.

Leading the way on the downside is Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) shares, which are trading lower by $26 by $591.89.
