Fired For Fighting (UBS)

According to DealBreaker, UBS (NYSE: UBS) two Australian traders that were involved in a physical altercation this week may receive pink slips for their efforts.

The head of UBS's institutional sales desk, George Kanaan, and executive director Mark Fitzgerald were “sent home” after Kanaan "gently shoved" Fitzgerald in Sydney on Tuesday. The situation escalated into a bigger ordeal, and the two had to be restrained by colleagues. This happened on Tuesday, and the two have not been allowed back.

Today Kanaan and Fitzgerald find out whether or not they are still employed by UBS. DealBreaker received an email saying the fight started like this: “Kanaan started it and Fitzgerald finished it…Obviously the PA they likely employed last week was hotter than they thought!”
