Indian Markets Rise; BSE Sensex Up Over 50 Points
Indian stock markets were trading higher on Tuesday. The U.S. Federal Open Market Committee will begin its two-day policy meeting today. The S&P BSE Sensex climbed 53.5 points, or 0.20 percent at 26568.75. The 30-share index touched a high of 26,611.81 in morning trade. The Nifty50 rose 0.07 percent to 8176.60, after touching a high of 8,200.95 in morning trade.
The S&P BSE Midcap Index gained 0.1 percent, while the BSE S&P Smallcap Index rose 0.15 percent.
The Indian rupee declined 10 paise to trade at 67.46 against the U.S. dollar on Tuesday.
Direxion Daily India Bull 2X Shares (NYSEARCA: INDL) fell 2.58 percent to close at $47.88 on Monday, while PowerShares India Portfolio (ETF) (NYSEARCA: PIN) dropped 0.80 percent to close at $19.72.
US stock markets closed mostly lower on Monday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average gaining 0.20 percent, the S&P500 index dropping 0.11 per cent, and the Nasdaq Composite falling 0.59 percent.
US WTI crude futures on the NYMEX dropped 0.36 percent to trade at $52.64 per barrel.

- Terai Tea Company Ltd. shares gained around 18 percent to 62.55 INR.
- Panchsheel Organics Ltd. rose about 18 percent to 124.80 INR.
- Mandhana Industries Ltd. rose 18 percent to 30.30 INR.
- Nahar Industrial Enterprises Ltd. shares surged 16 percent to 114.30 INR.
- Delta Industrial Resources Ltd. shares dropped around 11 percent to 35.50 INR.
- Sadhana Nitro Chem Ltd. fell around 11 percent to 28.00 INR.
- Sree Sakthi Paper Mills Ltd. tumbled 9 percent to 7.59 INR.
- JRI Industries & Infrastructure Ltd. shares declined 8 percent to 2.35 INR.
