Cat Comforting Crying Owner Melts Netizens' Hearts: 'If Only All Humans Had Half The Perceptivity…'

A viral clip on Twitter showing the bond between a cat and its keeper is winning netizens' hearts.

What Happened: An eight-second clip gaining popularity on the social media platform shows a man visibly sad and in tears. And soon after, when the cat senses his sadness, it climbs up on the owner’s chest and tries to comfort the man.

The viral video posted on Twitter by an account named Buitengebieden on Wednesday is catching many eyes for all the right reasons and has so far garnered over 1.8 million views.

It has garnered all sorts of reactions, and the internet seems to be in love with the heartwarming video. Netizens flooded the comment section with heart emojis and words like “sweet,” “cute,” and “beautiful.” Some pet parents even shared their own stories saying their cats do the same and try to cheer them up. 

“If only all humans had half the perceptivity and compassion of this moggie, the world would be a much better place,” one of the users said. 

Trivia: You can bond with your cat by just narrowing your eyes and blinking slowly, showed a new study published in the journal, Scientific Reports. The report said by narrowing your eyes, you can generate the equivalent of a smile for a cat, which makes the owner more attractive to their pet.
