Trump Pokes Fun At GOP Rivals While At UAW Rally: 'They're All Running For A Job'
Addressing the UAW rally in Michigan, former President Donald Trump took a jab at his Republican rivals attending the second GOP debate, hinting they may be vying for positions in his potential future administration.
During his speech to Michigan autoworkers, Trump referred to his lead in the polls and mocked his Republican competitors, NPR reported.
Trump said, “We’re competing with the job candidates. They’re all running for a job. They’re all job candidates. They’ll do anything, Secretary of something. They even say VP. Has anybody seen a VP anywhere?”
The former President’s comments come just a day after Joe Biden joined union autoworkers on the picket line in Michigan. Trump decided to skip the second debate of the GOP, drawing criticism from some of his GOP rivals at the debate.
Michigan voters have previously played a crucial role in electing both Trump and Biden to the White House — Trump in 2016 and Biden in 2020, supported mainly by union voters.
