Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) reported an 89% drop in its fourth-quarter net income. Johnson & Johnson's quarterly earnings declined to $218 million, or $0.08 per share, from $1.94 billion, or $0.70 per share, in the year-ago quarter. Excluding special items, Johnson & Johnson's adjusted earnings came in at $1.13 per share. Its sales rose to $16.26 billion from $15.64 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $1.09 per share on revenue of $16.28 billion.

McDonald's Corp (NYSE: MCD) reported an 11% rise in its fourth-quarter net income. McDonald's quarterly earnings climbed to $1.38 billion, or $1.33 per share, from $1.24 billion, or $1.16 per share, in the year-ago period. Its revenue gained to $6.82 billion from $6.21 billion. However, analysts were expecting a profit of $1.30 per share on revenue of $6.81 billion.

Verizon Communications Inc (NYSE: VZ) swung to a fourth-quarter loss on Tuesday. Verizon posted a quarterly loss of $212 million, or $0.71 per share, versus a year-ago profit of $4.65 billion, or $0.93 per share. Excluding one-time items, Verizon earned $0.52 per share. Its revenue climbed to $28.44 billion from $26.39 billion. However, analysts were expecting a profit of $0.53 per share on sales of $28.38 billion.

Air Products & Chemicals Inc (NYSE: APD) reported a drop in its first-quarter profit. Air Products' quarterly profit climbed to $292 million, or $1.36 per share, from $296 million, or $1.35 per share, in the year-ago period. Its revenue rose to $2.42 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $1.36 per share on sales of $2.52 billion.

DuPont Co (NYSE: DD) reported a 0.8% drop in its fourth-quarter net income. DuPont's quarterly earnings fell to $373 million, or $0.40 per share, from $376 million, or $0.40 per share, in the year-ago period. Its earnings, excluding special items, came in at $0.35 per share. Shares outstanding gained 0.7% to 935.7 million. DuPont's revenue surged to $8.77 billion from $7.74 billion. However, analysts were expecting a profit of $0.33 per share on revenue of $8.52 billion.

Kimberly-Clark (NYSE: KMB) reported an 18.5% decline in its fourth-quarter net income. Kimberly-Clark's quarterly net income dropped to $401 million, or $1.01 per share, from $492 million, or $1.20 per share, in the year-earlier period. Its adjusted profit came in at $1.28 per share. Kimberly-Clark's revenue climbed 2% to $5.18 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $1.30 per share on revenue of $5.2 billion.

Harley-Davidson Inc (NYSE: HOG) swung to a fourth-quarter profit. Harley-Davidson posted a quarterly profit of $105.7 million, or $0.46 per share, versus a year-ago loss of $46.8 million, or $0.20 per share. Its revenue rose 12% to $1.03 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.23 per share on revenue of $1.01 billion.

Quest Diagnostics Inc (NYSE: DGX) reported a rise in its fourth-quarter profit. Quest Diagnostics' quarterly profit surged to $189.5 million, or $1.20 per share, from $165.7 million, or $0.96 per share, in the year-earlier period. Its adjusted profit came in at $1.23 per share. Its revenue rose to $1.9 billion from $1.8 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $1.06 per share on revenue of $1.86 billion.

Baker Hughes Inc (NYSE: BHI) reported a drop in its fourth-quarter net income. Baker Hughes's quarterly attributable net income fell to $314 million, or $0.72 per share, from $342 million, or $0.78 per share, in the year-earlier period. On an adjusted basis, Baker Hughes' net income came in at $534 million, or $1.22 per diluted share. Its revenue gained 22% to $5.39 billion from $4.42 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $1.32 per share on sales of $5.47 billion.

Ashland Inc (NYSE: ASH) reported a 38% drop in its fiscal first-quarter profit. Ashland's quarterly profit declined to $61 million, or $0.77 per share, from $99 million, or $1.25 per share, in the year-ago period. Excluding certain items, the company earned $1.20 per share. Ashland's sales surged 35% to $1.93 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.99 per share on revenue of $1.99 billion.

Travelers Companies Inc (NYSE: TRV) reported a 31% decline in its fourth-quarter profit. Travelers' quarterly profit dropped to $618 million, or $1.51 per share, from $894 million,, or $1.95 per share, in the year-ago period. Its revenue climbed to $6.37 billion from $6.33 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $1.54 per share on revenue of $5.46 billion.

EMC Corp (NYSE: EMC) reported a rise in its fourth-quarter net income. EMC's quarterly net income surged to $832 million, or $0.38 per share, from $628.6 million, or $0.29 per share, in the year-earlier period. Its adjusted net income came in at $0.49 per share. EMC's revenue rose to $5.57 billion from $4.89 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.46 per share on revenue of $5.49 billion.

Siemens AG (NYSE: SI) reported a 17% drop in its net profit for the final quarter of 2011. Siemens' quarterly net profit declined to euro1.46 billion ($1.89 billion), versus analysts' estimates of euro1.396 billion. Its revenue rose 3% to euro17.9 billion.

Peabody Energy Corp (NYSE: BTU) reported a rise in its fourth-quarter profit. Peabody Energy's quarterly profit surged to $222.4 million, or $0.82 per share, from $210 million, or $0.77 per share, in the year-earlier period. Its adjusted income came in at $0.98 per share. Peabody Energy's revenue climbed to $2.25 billion from $1.79 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $1.33 per share on revenue of $2.37 billion.

International Game Technology (NYSE: IGT) reported a 33% drop in its fiscal first-quarter earnings. International Game's quarterly profit dropped to $49.3 million, or $0.16 per share, from $73.7 million, or $0.25 per share, in the year-ago period. Its revenue dropped 1.3% to $445.5 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.22 per share on revenue of $485 million.

AK Steel Holding Corp (NYSE: AKS) reported a wider fourth-quarter loss. AK Steel posted a quarterly loss of $193.9 million, or $1.76 per share, versus a year-ago loss of $155.6 million, or $1.41 per share. The company's adjusted loss came in at $0.26 per share. Its sales rose to $1.51 billion from $1.39 billion. However, analysts were expecting a loss of $0.38 per share on revenue of $1.49 billion.

Cooper Industries PLC (NYSE: CBE) reported a rise in its fourth-quarter profit. Cooper Industries' quarterly profit climbed to $159.9 million, or $1 per share, from $141.9 million, or $0.85 per share, in the year-earlier period. Its revenue rose to $1.37 bililon from $1.26 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.96 per share on revenue of $1.35 billion.

MGIC Investment Corp (NYSE: MTG) reported a narrower fourth-quarter loss. MGIC Investment posted a quarterly loss of $135.3 million, or $0.67 per share, versus a year-ago loss of $186.7 million, or $0.93 per share. Its revenue surged 24% to $447 million. However, analysts were expecting a loss of $0.82 per share on revenue of $315 million.

Regions Financial Corp (NYSE: RF) swung to a Q4 loss. Regions Financial posted a quarterly net loss of $602 million, or $0.48 per share, versus a year-ago profit of $36 million, or $0.03 per share. Its earnings from continuing operations, excluding goodwill impairment, came in at $0.09 per share. However, analysts were expecting a profit of $0.06 per share.

Waters Corp (NYSE: WAT) reported a rise in its fourth-quarter profit. Waters Corp posted a quarterly profit at $137.2 million, or $1.51 per share, versus $126.6 million, or $1.36 per share, in the year-earlier period. Its adjusted earnings came in at $1.56 per share. Its sales climbed 8% to $521.4 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $1.50 per share on revenue of $517.3 million.

KeyCorp (NYSE: KEY) posted a better-than-expected quarterly profit. KeyCorp's quarterly earnings dropped to $194 million, or $0.20 per share, from $279 million, or $0.32 per share, in the year-ago period. It earned $0.21 per share from continuing operations. Analysts were expecting earnings of $0.20 per share.

TCF Financial Corp (NYSE: TCB) reported downbeat fourth-quarter profit. TCF Financial's quarterly earnings dropped to $16.4 million, or $0.10 per share, from $33.9 million, or $0.24 per share, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.14 per share.

Rayonier Inc (NYSE: RYN) posted a drop in its fourth-quarter profit. Rayonier's net income fell to $56 million, or $0.45 per share, from $59 million, or $0.48 per share, in the year-ago period. Its sales surged 23% to $388.4 million.

Royal KPN NV (OTC: KKPNY) posted a 63% decline in its Q4 profit and lowered its 2012 forecast. KPN's net profit dropped to EUR176 million, versus EUR475 million, in the year-ago period. Its sales declined to EUR3.38 billion from EUR3.39 billion. However, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization fell 3.2% to EUR1.32 billion.

Coach Inc (NYSE: COH) reported a 15% rise in its fiscal second-quarter earnings. Coach's quarterly profit surged to $347.5 million, or $1.18 per share, from $303.4 million, or $1 per share, in the year-ago period. Its sales rose 15% to $1.45 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $1.15 per share on revenue of $1.43 billion. Canadian National Railway Co (NYSE: CNI) reported a 17.7% surge in its Q4 profit on Tuesday and lifted its quarterly dividend by 15%. CN's quarterly earnings surged to C$592 million ($588.15 million), or C$1.32 per diluted share, from C$503 million, or C$1.08 per share, in the year-ago period. CN's revenue climbed 12% to C$2.38 billion.
