Amazon's Latest Attempt At Staking A Claim In The Device Market
Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) may have started as a retailer that sells items produced by other manufacturers, but the company has slowly changed that by offering a number of goods and services that were produced in-house.
This year was particularly interesting for Amazon. In addition to its long-awaited smartphone, the company launched a competitor to Siri (built for the home, not a smartphone), a number of new tablets, two TV-connected devices and new e-readers.
