Bullish Sentiment Rises In Latest AAII Sentiment Survey
In the most recent American Association of Individual Investors Sentiment Survey, bullish sentiment actually rose, despite the equity market turmoil in recent weeks.
For the week ending August 10, 2011, Bullish sentiment rose 6.3% to 33.4%, Neutral sentiment fell 1.2% to 21.8%, and Bearish sentiment dropped 5.1% to 44.8%.
Bullish sentiment is still well below the historical average of 39%, and Bearish sentiment is still well above the historical average of 30%.
Equity market futures are dropping sharply this morning after having been up earlier in the session on concerns of Asian banks cutting credit lines to French banks.
