On CNBC's “Halftime Report Final Trades,” Joshua Brown of Ritholtz Wealth Management picked Uber Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:UBER) following news of its partnership with Volkswagen Group (OTC:VWAGY).

Volkswagen ADMT, America's autonomous mobility subsidiary, and Uber on Thursday announced a collaboration to deploy a fleet of thousands of all-electric, fully autonomous ID.

Buzz AD vehicles within multiple U.S. markets, starting in Los Angeles over the next decade.

Bryn Talkington, managing partner at Requisite Capital named KKR & Co. Inc. (NYSE:KKR) as her final trade.

Supporting her view, HSBC analyst Vikram Gandhi, on April 15, upgraded the rating for KKR from Hold to Buy.

Jason Snipe of Odyssey Capital Advisors picked Palo Alto Networks, Inc (NASDAQ:PANW), saying the platform strategy is starting to work here.

Palo Alto announced on April 9 crossed $1.5 billion in cumulative sales through Alphabet Inc's (NASDAQ:GOOG) Google Cloud Marketplace as of April. The cybersecurity company said the sales milestone highlights its commitment to helping organizations use artificial intelligence to accelerate cloud and AI adoption more securely.

Jim Lebenthal of Cerity Partners named Applied Materials, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMAT) as his final trade amid good report from Lam Research Corporation (NASDAQ:LRCX).

Lam Research reported quarterly earnings of $1.04 per share on April 23, beating the analyst consensus estimate of 98 cents. Quarterly revenue was $4.72 billion, also beating the analyst consensus estimate of $4.59 billion.

Price Action:

  • KKR shares jumped 6% to close at $113.25 on Thursday.
  • Palo Alto gained 4.6% to close at $176.04 during Thursday's session.
  • Applied Materials shares rose 4.6% to close at $150.17 on Thursday.
  • Uber shares climbed 5.9% to settle at $78.10 during the session.
