Louis Navallier Loves Tessera, Medifast, Dresser-Rand And Southwestern Energy (TSRA, MED, DRC, SWN)
Louis Navallier was a guest on CNBC's Fast Money this evening and he talked about his four favorite stocks. Navallier thinks Tessera Technologies (Nasdaq: TSRA), Medifast (NYSE: MED), Dresser-Rand (NYSE: DRC) and Southwest Energy (NYSE: SWN) all should be bought as there is a lot of upside and very little downside with any of the picks.
Below are Louis Navallier's comments on each of his picks.
Tessera Technologies-He said that TSRA just announced and topped estimates, but Tessera did guide fourth quarter sales slightly lower so it is trading down. Navallier said he thinks Tessera will be a good buy in a couple days, but let the volume settle down first.
Navallier likes Tessera because they are helping patent all the technology in smart phones and smart phones will only continue to grow.
-He said Medifast had stunning earnings today which were 21% better than expected. He said MED sales are up over 60% and the earnings are up over 100%. Louis thinks Medifast is a very well-run company.
-Navallier thinks Dresser-Rand will have an 8% earnings surprise and positive sales growth. Dresser-Rand has a vast international business and DRC should benefit from the weak dollar.
-Navallier said he's still a big fan of Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL), but he thinks Apple needs to improve its computer product line a bit. He thinks Apple needs to take the technology from the Mac Air Book and put it in other laptops, AAPL will do even better.
-Louis Navallier said Southwestern Energy will have a huge earnings surprise, at least a 17% surprise. Southwestern Energy is a horizontal driller in the natural gas field. SWN is one of the reasons why natural gas prices are so low.
