Strategist: VF Corp is Interesting And Wearable 'From Head To Toe'
Jill Malandrino was recently a guest on #PreMarket Prep, a daily trading idea radio show hosted by Joel Elconin and Dennis Dick. Tune in to the daily broadcast live Monday-Friday at 8 a.m. ET here.
TheStreet's OptionsProfits Product Development Manager Jill Malandrino told Benzinga's #PreMarket Prep that VF Corp (NYSE: VFC) has momentum and could be poised for gains. While Malandrino said that she is not a technician, she thinks that VF Corp is a "tradable name."
The Company
Mainly, Malandrino said she is impressed that the company is not only a distributor, but "completely invested" in the sportswear trend. "And you can wear them from head to toe," she added, pointing to the company's Northface, Timberland and Wrangler brands. Further, the company unveiled a stretch jeans product that will help it capture a trend toward yoga fabrics.
From an operational perspective, Malandrino said the company has less exposure than a single brand name.
VF Corp is down sharply in Friday trading – off 2.4 percent to $72.38. Year-to-date, shares are down marginally, falling 2 percent with prices holding within a $10 range from $68 to $78.
